Making Live Events Accessible For All With UK Deaf Sport

XRAI, a cutting-edge technology company, is excited to announce its collaboration with UK Deaf Sport to pioneer a new era of inclusivity in live events with real-time subtitles. Dan Scarfe, CEO of XRAI, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating: “We are proud to join forces with UK Deaf Sport to make live events more accessible and inclusive for everyone. At XRAI, we are committed to breaking down barriers and providing equal opportunities for all individuals to engage in sports, entertainment and other events.”

Making Live Events Accessible For All With UK Deaf Sport

With XRAI’s state-of-the-art technology, live events organized by UK Deaf Sport will now also feature instant subtitles, offering deaf spectators a seamless viewing experience. This initiative not only enhances accessibility but also fosters a more inclusive environment for all attendees.

Dan further emphasized, “Through our partnership with UK Deaf Sport, we are harnessing the power of technology to create a more inclusive society where individuals of all abilities can come together and enjoy sports and other events on an equal footing.”

Joanne Cholerton, CEO at UK Deaf Sport said: “UK Deaf Sport are thrilled to announce a partnership with XRAI. This will ensure that all of our events, not just live sports events, wherever and whenever they are will be instantly accessible and inclusive for the deaf community. Instant, real-time subtitles in any language will be available on your phone. By ensuring inclusivity, this partnership will also help engage deaf children and adults and support them to get active and feel the social, physical and mental health benefits this brings.”

Stuart Harrison, Vice President of UK Deaf Sport used the XRAI Glass app at SportAccord 2024. He said: “What an amazing app! I was able to have so many meetings with individuals, focusing on the key points and emotions of conversations instead of feeling stressed, trying to lipread and hear what is being said. It also made it enjoyable to follow panel discussions and keynote presentations. We were working in a very noisy crowded environment and did a great job translating German and Japanese into English as well!”

This groundbreaking collaboration marks a significant step towards bridging the gap in accessibility and ensuring that the thrill of live sports and other events is truly universal. XRAI and UK Deaf Sport are dedicated to championing diversity and empowering deaf communities through cutting-edge technology solutions.

Join us in celebrating this momentous partnership as we pave the way for a more inclusive and accessible future in live events.
