Rokid surpasses M for its Rokid AR Lite Kickstarter campaign

July 1, 2024 – Rokid, a provider of augmented reality (AR) technologies, has recently announced that it has achieved a significant milestone in its Kickstarter campaign for its Rokid AR Lite smart glasses, surpassing USD $1 million in pledges.

Since its launch on the Kickstarter platform in May this year, the Rokid AR Lite has captured the attention of backers worldwide, including tech enthusiasts, early adopters, and professionals eager to explore the potential of augmented reality in various applications. The campaign still has more than a week remaining before it closes, with July 11, 2024 being the final day that interested customers can back the project.

“We are thrilled to announce that the Rokid AR Lite has crossed the $1 million mark on Kickstarter,” said Misa Zhu, CEO at Rokid. “The overwhelming support from our backers reaffirms the appeal of our innovative AR technology… We look forward to continuing our momentum and reaching even more milestones.”

Key features of the Rokid AR Lite glasses include:

  • High-definition displays and advanced sensors deliver an immersive augmented reality experience for the wearer;
  • Designed to seamlessly integrate into daily activities, the glasses’ lightweight and ergonomic design offers greater comfort to the wearer for extended use;
  • Offering a range of applications, from gaming and entertainment to professional uses such as remote assistance and industrial design, the AR Lite supports diverse user needs;
  • An intuitive interface, easy-to-use controls and seamless connectivity with smartphones help to enhance user interaction and functionality;
  • Provides a 300-inch virtual screen at a distance of 6 meters from the wearer, with a 50° optical display field of view, and a resolution of 1,200p per eye (according to Rokid);
  • Weighs 75 grams, and comes with a 5000mAh battery that offers up to 4 hours of usage;
  • Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 Platform, and Rokid’s proprietary YodaOS-Master operating system.

Rokid stated that the success of its Kickstarter campaign reflects what it sees as “a growing market demand for innovative AR solutions that empower users with new ways to learn, create, and interact.”

Rokid AR Lite is available for pre-order through Kickstarter starting at USD $499 (includes Early Bird pricing). Backers can expect an estimated delivery of September 2024.
